Thomastown Terminal Station Rebuild

Meikle Electrics is a major supplier of the primary electrical installation service providers for the Thomastown Terminal Station (TTS) Rebuild Project X785.

Powercor Network Services was engaged by SP AusNet on the 13th of April 2010 as the primary and secondary electrical installation service provider for the Thomastown Terminal Station (TTS) Rebuild Project X785.

The TTS Rebuild Project involves the complete rebuild of the 220kV switchyard, replacement of B3.

Transformer, replacement of all transformer protections and 66kV Bus Tie CB’s and protection.

This involves the installation of a new 220kV relay house, to contain all the 220kV protection, as well as batteries for the entire station DC Supplies.

Keilor Terminal Station

Meikle Electrics is a major supplier of the primary electrical installation service providers for the Keilor Terminal Station (KTS) Rebuild Project.

Stage 1

Install a new 85 11 kV/400V Station Services Transformer, and connection to the existing AC changeover board;
Demolish the existing 82 11 kV/400V Station Services Transformer

Stage 2

Install a new 82 220/66/11 kV Transformer, Firewall and associated protection and controls,
Install new bipole structures in bays G of the 66kV yard and overhead strung spans to the B2 transformer
Demolish solid bus between bays G of the 66kV yard, and the 82 transformer.

Stage 3

Demolish the existing 82 220/66/11kV Transformer and Firewall;
Install a new B1 220/66/11kV Transformer, Firewall , and associated protection and controls;
Install new bipole structures in bays D of the 66kV yard and overhead strung spans to the B1 transformer;
Demolish solid bus between bays D of the 66kV yard, and the B1 transformer.

Gunning Windfarm

Meikle Electrics provided suitably trained and qualified personnel for the construction of a new Substation owned by Acciona that interconnected into the Country Energy 132kV Network. Services included the following:

Erection of steel pedestals & structures
Erection & Installation of Primary Electrical Plant & Equipment
Earth Grid Installation
Running, installing & terminating Cables into a pre constructed and fitted out Control Room

Leongatha Zone Substation

Meikle Electrics was the major supplier of the primary electrical installation service providers for the Leongatha Zone Substation Rebuild Project (Brownfield 66/22kV Zone Substation Rebuild)

This project included running and terminating cables associated with: 5 x 66kV Lines, Ring Bus 7 x 66kV CB’s, 4 x 10/13MVA Transformers, 10 x 22kV Lines, 1 x 22kV Cap Bank. This also included assisting the installation and commissioning of Siemens Simoprime 22kV indoor switchgear to replace existing outdoor 22kV Switchyard, and the demolition of the existing control room and 22lV outdoor yard at the end of the project.
